You will generate estimates for the supply and installation of conveying and storage systems primarily in grain handling and storage industryWill be supporting a steel fabrication manufacturing environmentWill work with customers, project managers, sales staff, and other engineers to develop pricing quotes for customersConsidering cost of material, cost of labor, engineering hours, etc.Will review customer blueprints, internal blueprints, BOMs, and CAD files in AutoCAD to generate cost of materialsWill partner with shop leadership, construction leadership, and project management to estimate labor hours and costWill help the firm to identify potential estimation software to purchase and use for this roleWill be helping the firm to digitize legacy estimation recordsThere will be some travel, estimated 10% or less travel to local customers where you will return home that nightMUST HAVES:
1. Associates degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, project management, or related discipline
2. Experience supporting a steel fabrication, construction, or grain handling and storage industry
3. At least 3 years prior estimation experience
4. Experience working experience creating spreadsheets in Excel
5. Some experience with AUTOCAD
6. No fear of heights (may climb ladder on a tall grain elevator to get field measurements)
NICE TO HAVES:
1. 5-7+ years of estimation experience
2. Experience supporting the agricultural industry
3. Experience managing engineering or construction projects
4. Experience working within an estimation software such as costimator
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
