Job Title: Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to process quote requests from current and potential customers, ensuring timely and accurate responses. The ideal candidate will analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other provided information to confirm the project's fit for our capabilities and tooling. The Estimator will ensure all aspects of the project and production processes are included in the quotes to meet customer expectations.

ResponsibilitiesProcess quote requests from current and potential customers and return them on time.Analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other provided information to ensure the project is an appropriate fit for our capabilities and tooling.Ensure quotes returned include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations.Provide analysis of projects to ensure business fit and proactively plan for more complex production needs.Offer troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to promote continuous growth of the department.Essential SkillsExperience with metal fabrication operations and equipment.Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment.Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Solid Works and FTP sites preferred.Work Environment

Estimators will work within a team of three. The senior estimator is transitioning to part-time and will be responsible for training the new team member. The office environment can be lively, with side conversations and music, so the ability to focus amid distractions is essential. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. During the summer, the schedule shifts to 9-hour days from Monday to Thursday, allowing for early dismissal on Fridays. We are a flexible, family-oriented company offering a perfect attendance bonus. Employees who are punctual and have no unexcused absences for a month receive an additional 5 hours of PTO to use.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
