Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and bid proposals for large-scale commercial construction projects, including municipal, multifamily, and community developments. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze project plans by examining blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to understand the project scope and requirements.Prepare detailed cost estimates by calculating the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services required for each project.Develop bid proposals by preparing and submitting competitive bid proposals, ensuring all estimates are accurate and comprehensive.Collaborate with stakeholders such as project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.Maintain records by keeping detailed records of all estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience with a General Contractor.Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and bid proposals for commercial construction projects, with examples of successful bids.Minimum of 5 years of experience handling projects worth at least $5 million.Minimum of 5 years of experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Minimum of 5 years of experience with any construction software for estimation/bids.High School Diploma.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Procore.Experience with multifamily and municipal construction projects.Experience with community and senior living projects.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Business Degree.Work Environment
This role offers hybrid flexibility, allowing 1-2 days of remote work based on level of experience. Our small office in Hartford consists of 17 employees, and you will work closely with the owner and project executive. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00
