Estimator- North West London 

Competitive Salary 

Our client, a leading Main Contractor, with a turnover of £20 million, is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their growing team in North West London. As an Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Interiors, Refurbishments, and Social Housing projects, analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine the overall costs and resources required for successful project completion.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates and prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for resources & services.  

Compile, review, and submit competitive bid proposals and documents ensuring accuracy and completeness.  

Work closely with project teams to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project estimates and propose reliable solutions.  

Provide cost control support during the project execution and help in tracking and managing project budgets and financial performance.  

Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of cost estimates ensuring that all documentation is accurate & complete.  

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of estimates and bids.  

Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable outcomes and agreements.  

Prepare required documentation for the tender submission, including cost estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, and compliance information.  

Degree in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or related field.  

5+ years’ experience in Estimator role within construction, preferably with main contractor, interiors, refurbishments, and social housing projects. 

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.  

Proficiency in estimation software & tools.  

Effective negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.  

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
