Job Title: Construction Estimator Job Description We are seeking a Lead Construction Estimator who will be responsible for analyzing and estimating the costs involved in commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will meticulously review project blueprints and specifications, conduct site visits, collaborate with various stakeholders, and perform detailed cost analysis to create accurate project budgets. Responsibilities + Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work, materials required, and labor needs. + Conduct site visits to gather information about the project site, existing conditions, and potential challenges. + Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate pricing information and ensure comprehensive estimates. + Calculate direct costs (such as materials) and indirect costs (such as overhead) to create accurate project budgets. + Source cost estimates from suppliers and contractors, considering market prices and availability. + Compile detailed budget proposals for clients, helping them plan and allocate resources effectively. Essential Skills + Strong analytic abilities + Working knowledge of estimating software + Understanding of construction documents + Ability to read and interpret blueprints + Ability to coordinate and work independently Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in estimator field of interest + 5+ years’ experience as an estimator Work Environment This position is based in the new Raleigh office.
