This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently. Job Summary: Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Estimator. The Estimator is responsible for deciding the projected time frame needed to complete a project and additional factors like labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks. Their duties include communicating with personnel and contractual professionals or vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks or compile reports and making presentations to project leaders outlining their suggestions for upcoming projects. Job Duties: + Analyzing plans bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs + Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. + Assessing the financial, technical, and operational risks of the project + Work closely w/ customer and/or Project/Account Manager on defining the scope of supply. + Inputting into decisions over whether to bid for the project + Working closely with key members of the project team and liaising with clients and suppliers + Keeping detailed records and writing reports + Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product + Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service + Creating labor estimates for any project + Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors + Managing bids from vendors and contractors + Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis + Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders + Maintain quote database + Maintain quote schedule + Generate pricing worksheet and proposal letter + Input and maintain quote/proposal data in Salesforce Requirements Minimum Qualifications: + High school diploma or a GED equivalent required + Computer skills including MS Office experience with Excel and Access required + Experience in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings required + Communication skills (verbal and written) required + Analytical minded required + Attention to detail required + Organizational and planning skills required + Reliable required + Adaptive required + Customer service centric required + Alignment with company core values required + Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required + Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required + Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required Preferred Qualifications: + Associate degree in engineering or related field preferred + AutoCAD experience preferred + Prior experience as an estimator preferred + Member of American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) preferred + Member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE) preferred Benefits Benefits: + Medical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD + 100% medical premium paid for by Panelmatic for the employee-only level medical coverage + 80% paid for by Panelmatic and 20% paid for by the employee on all other level medical coverage (ie employee plus child, employee plus spouse, family) + Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and paid personal and professional development provided + PTO and paid holidays provided + Career advancement opportunities + Competitive wages + Family-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
