Job Title: Construction Estimator
Description
- Manage Commercial/healthcare/manufacturing fit-out projects in CT (and 1 in NY)
- attend meetings with architects, engineers, and subcontractors on site to ensure project is being built to specifications
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
- create work schedule with 2 week and 3 month look aheads
- Perform take-offs and materials procurement
- create rfi's and track submittals

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather essential project information.
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
Monitor and update cost estimates as project details evolve.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future reference.
Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
Provide support during contract negotiations and project planning phases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of [5] years of experience in construction estimating or a similar role.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift).
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $95.00/hr.
