Job Title: Estimator Location: San Antonio, TX (Woodridge Area) Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, with full benefits Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM or 7 AM - 4 PM (flexible), weekends as needed About the Role Our client, a well-established construction firm, is seeking an Estimator to join their growing team in San Antonio. This role focuses on pre-construction planning, cost estimation, and bid preparation for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy civil construction estimating and a proven ability to manage complex bids from start to finish. Key Responsibilities + Conduct pre-bid site visits to assess project scope and existing conditions. + Review and interpret construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications. + Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis using industry-standard tools. + Source, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes. + Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates. + Assist in bid proposal preparation, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. + Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. + Utilize software such as Viewpoint, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and HCSS for estimation and reporting. What You Bring + 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating. + Strong proficiency in Viewpoint and other relevant industry software. + Ability to analyze technical data and create cost-effective bid proposals. + Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Stability in work history (minimum 4 years per role preferred). + Familiarity with industry leaders such as Webber is a plus.
