Job Title: EstimatorJob Description We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, concrete, and excavation with a proven track record of preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to analyze project plans and specifications, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Responsibilities + Conduct thorough and accurate take-offs and estimates for construction projects, including material and labor costs. + Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate estimations and identification of potential issues. + Prepare detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and take-offs within the designated time frame. + Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. + Research and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and quality. + Review and verify contract documents and assist in budget preparations for ongoing projects. + Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes to ensure estimations are in line with the latest standards. + Provide accurate cost information during project planning and execution phases. Essential Skills + 6-10 years of experience in construction, concrete, and excavation. + Experience with concrete or excavation (self-perform) projects. + Proven track record in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates. + Ability to analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree preferred but not required. + Experience with project scopes ranging from $500k to $15 million. Work Environment The position is based at the Sterling office. We offer flexibility with a hybrid schedule and will consider candidates from the Michigan or southeast region. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
