ResponsibilitiesInvolved throughout the estimating, bidding, vendor, and subcontractor proposal review and purchasing processes.Develop detailed quantity take-offs.Develop bid packages and contract scopes of work for subcontractors, evaluate subcontractor bids, and issue contracts.Collect project data and compare to office capabilities.Perform new equipment takeoffs.Prepare equipment submittals.Assist Managers and Project Managers with technical support.Perform construction plan review or other requirements as determined by project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s facility requirements.Provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions for the customer’s problems.Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the entire customer’s building system design and installation requirements.Develop, evaluate, and discuss possible solutions with Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.Coordinate selection, pricing, and integrate equipment, controls, and services for each project.Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary and/or final proposal/submittal complete.Help Manager determine proposal price and selling strategy.Resolve major deviations from scope with team after Project Scope Validation.Help Manager develop project fulfillment schedule with project team.Prepare and review contract terms and conditions using standard contract templates when applicable.Work with team members to solicit proper expertise in order to meet customer needs.Perform other such duties and responsibilities as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years experience (10 years preferred) in the HVAC industry and at least 3 years of estimating experience.Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and specifications.Ability to understand HVAC systems and controls.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in estimation, construction, preconstruction, mechanical, take-off, mechanical estimating, and bidding.Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) estimating.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
