Primary Purpose:
Provide cost estimating support for the Natural Gas Pipelines Project Management organization for a select group of smaller natural gas projects which could include high pressure transmission pipelines, compression and metering/interconnect facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education:
Associates Degree in a technical trade (construction management or similar).Experience / Specific knowledge:
Experience in natural gas pipeline, compression station, measurement facilities or equivalent is preferred.Possess basic understanding of upstream, midstream and downstream projects.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Possess analytical skills and logical thought process.Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.Possess ability to present ideas, proposals and results to Project Management, as well as internal and external customers.Must be familiar with unit rates, material and equipment pricing, labor pricing and other estimate components and techniques.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to work with a team, take directions form supervisors and follow work rules.Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job requirements.Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and work with minimal direct supervision.Take direction from Management or Senior level peers.Must be detail oriented.Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position):
Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a technical area such as Construction Management or similar.Estimating experience and design of pipelines, compressor stations, and meter stations for mainline gas transmission service.Familiarity with Microsoft Project Scheduling software.Project Management Classes or Certification is helpful.Understanding of basic economic analysis as it pertains to project justification.Knowledge of drawings and schematics.Working Conditions:
Position can be filled in Houston, TX Job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets.Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment involving long periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.May be occasionally required to travel to the field in the development of specific cost estimates, conferences, and meetings.Must be able to pass company background check and drug test.
