ETL Developer

 

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to design and implement data integration solutions using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Databricks. The role involves building scalable ETL pipelines, real-time data streaming solutions, and optimizing data models for performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include integrating ERP systems into data lakes, migrating on-premises solutions to Azure, and ensuring data quality through rigorous checks and monitoring. Strong expertise in MSSQL, Azure Cloud Services, and data processing, along with excellent communication and multitasking skills, is essential for this dynamic role.

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

A key member of the development team, this position focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes, data integration, and modeling to enhance data reliability and quality for SaaS products. Key responsibilities include:

ETL Development: Design and implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources efficiently. Real-Time Data Solutions: Develop real-time data streaming solutions with Azure Stream Analytics and Azure Event Hubs to support analytics and reporting. Big Data Processing: Leverage PySpark and Databricks for large-scale data processing, ensuring scalability and high performance. Collaboration and Modeling: Work with data architects and stakeholders to design and maintain data models and structures for efficient storage and retrieval. ERP Integration: Implement seamless integration of ERP systems into data lakes, ensuring data flow and accessibility. Optimization: Monitor and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to enhance performance and minimize latency. Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Cloud Migration: Participate in migrating on-premises data solutions to Azure, following best practices for security and compliance. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on Azure features and data engineering practices to contribute to team improvements. This role requires expertise in MS SQL, Azure Cloud Data Services, schema design, and modeling tools, along with strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering 

 

 

EXPERIENCE

 

4+ years of Information Technology experience with a focus on data warehousing, ETL development, and data modelling. 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Azure services. 2+ years of DB Development using MS SQL

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure SQL Database. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark.

 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ABILITIES:

 

Proficient with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics. Strong understanding of real-time data processing and data streaming concepts. Familiar with data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema). Azure certification (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred; knowledge of Azure Fabric is a plus. Experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools for analyzing, designing, and developing ETL packages. Skilled in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and a programming language. Expertise in stored procedures, SQL performance tuning, and database query optimization. Ability to analyze SQL performance, load, and concurrent use issues in complex architectures. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends to meet deadlines.

Ability to document processes and workflows for future reference.
