EU Strategy Lead (6 months)

Mission of the Role:

The Europe Strategy Lead will support the EU Zone strategy and transformation team’s activities related to Strategic Plan / Performance Cycle, M&A and Danone Impact Journey.

 

Main responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for:

Collecting and analyzing data from various sources (internal and external)Building compelling presentations based on these data points

This will be delivered through 3 main workstreams:

 

(1) Strategic plan / Performance cycle

Build engaging presentations on Europe strategy and execution (target audience: EUZ Board, Danone Board)Analyze quarterly results of key competitors to build updates on competitive intelligence for Euroboard

(2) Danone Impact Journey Governance

Lead Danone Impact Journey Governance in Europe: organize, prepare and facilitate EU DIJ SteerComsEnsure strong consistency in between Europe and Global agendas through DIJ stakeholders’ community

(3) M&A Governance

Develop strategic rationale for potential M&A targets, working closely with Europe category teams, Strategy & Insights and other relevant teams (on an ad hoc basis)Build high level financial assessment of potential targets

Select sections / workstreams within EUZ QBR intro. presentation (delivered by EUZ President)Quarterly DIJ SteerCom presentationsWorkstreams of monthly M&A SteerCom meetingsQuarterly competition update

 

Key metrics:

All presentations delivered on time, at the high level of quality requiredFlawless accuracy of analysis conducted

 

Key stakeholder interactions:

Internally:

EU Zone team – Category teams, Finance teams, S&I and R&I and, less often, other EU functions (sales, etc.)Global teams: Sustainability, M&A and BD, Strategy and Category Strategy teams

Externally: Limited exposure

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Proven track record of building compelling presentations, combining in-depth analysis with the ability to engage most senior stakeholdersComplex data analysis from various sources, with a critical eyeStrong quantitative skills / ability to build financial plansAbility to get up to speed quickly on new topicsAbility to execute quickly and at highest quality level on presentationsExperienced in managing Board-level stakeholders

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

Education: Masters in Management / Business / relevant field

Experience (in years): minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or commercial functions
