The Product Structuring and Documentation team is part of the European Product Development team which sits within the Global Product Strategy and Development team and is responsible for developing and managing the regulatory and other documentation for JPMorgan Asset Management's Pan-European open-ended fund ranges which comprise over 225 funds across multiple umbrella structures, which are registered in over 36 countries globally with AUM in excess of $450 billion.
European Product Development is structured into three core functions: Product Development, Product Structuring and Documentation and Product Line Management.
Product Development:
Product Structuring and Documentation
Partner with product developers to produce market leading documentation that considers product vehicle structuring and all legal, regulatory and technical matters for new products and product changes Engage with internal committees, boards of directors and regulators to obtain documentation approvals for new products and product changes Maintain consistency and quality across offering documents and other documentation through a robust quality control and oversight process that includes partnership with internal and external counsel Assess the impact and manage the implementation of regulatory change across EMEA Strategic oversight of global changes to the prospectuses and offering documents for JPMorgan Asset Management's Pan-European open-ended fund rangesProduct Line Management
Oversee and deliver the ongoing optimisation of the product range in partnership with the broader Product Strategy and Development team Coordinate Investment Oversight and the value assessment processes Manage business initiatives that have impact across the product lineAs a Product Development Associate within the Product Structuring and Documentation team, you will be an integral part of the European Product Development team. You will be responsible for providing legal, regulatory, and documentation drafting support and guidance with respect to the establishment and ongoing maintenance of JPMorgan Asset Management's Pan-European open-ended fund ranges. You will work closely with product developers and investment teams, as well as Legal, Risk and Compliance teams in creating regulatory and other required documentation for new products and product changes and to maintain ongoing regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Working in full partnership with the product developers to provide advice and assistance on regulatory matters and produce market leading documentation that considers all legal, regulatory and technical issues for new products, product changes and ongoing regulatory compliance Considering vehicle structuring issues (including vehicle selection), in the design and execution of new products and changes to existing products Engaging with internal working groups and committees, boards of directors, regulators, external legal counsel and depositaries in respect of new products, changes to existing products and ongoing regulatory complianceRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience in the asset management industry directly or through asset management practices of law/consultancy firms, with particular experience in working in the UCITS and AIFM regulatory frameworks Drafting of legal documents such as prospectuses and sustainable / ESG regulatory documentation such as SFDR and UK SDR outputs - with high attention to detail and lateral thinking skills Experience of managing multiple projects to tight deadlines, within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environment. Client focused mindset, with a commitment to integrity, fairness and responsibility Credibility and proven ability to engage with stakeholders and develop partnerships across the business at all levels. This should include influencing and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to articulate complex ideas, concepts, and solutions at a level appropriate and intelligible to the recipient High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills which can be competently utilised to manage a large range of documents Strong technical knowledge of the UCITS and AIFM regulatory frameworks and a working knowledge of SFDR A good understanding of the Pan-European asset management industry and registration requirements in Asia Solid understanding of a range of financial instruments, asset classes and strategies targeted to retail and / or professional investors Understanding of portfolio management process and techniquesPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Qualified lawyer in Luxembourg, Ireland and / or England and Wales is preferable, although not essential – your practicing cert can be maintained
