Job Description

THE POSITION:

The European Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely VAT and income tax compliance across European and other global entities. This role involves working closely with the Director, Global Tax, the global finance team, and external tax advisors to implement tax planning strategies. The European Tax Manager will also manage tax audits and inquiries and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT and income tax returns for European and other global entitiesCoordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and related analysisCollaborate with the finance and operations teams to gather and analyze data required for transfer pricing calculationsProvide regular updates and reports to the Director, Global Tax on the status of tax compliance and planning initiativesSupport the Director, Global tax on tax audits and inquiries from regulatory agenciesCollaborate closely with the Director, Global Tax to align European tax strategies with global tax objectivesDemonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing biasAll other duties as assigned

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

Travel – Under 5%Hours – 40+, typically Monday - Friday

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingExperience and/or Training – 8-10 years of experience in tax compliance; 5+ years’ experience with tax compliance in multiple EU jurisdictions; Experience with VAT compliance; Experience with transfer pricing in complex Global company; Public Accounting experience requiredLicenses/Certificates  – ACCA or equivalentTechnology/Equipment  – Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets, accounting, and tax systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and/or Training – Must thrive in a team environment; Experience with tax compliance in Ireland, UK, and ItalyTechnology/Equipment – Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred
