EV Deployment Coordinator, Commercial Development

Role Summary The Coordinator, EV Charging Deployment supports key functions of the Real Estate, Design, Construction, Operations and Purchasing managers and shall support facilities design and construction projects to ensure all financial, administrative, contractual, and technical aspects of multiple projects are being executed, as required. Facilities associated with this role will focus on the charging network, but may include workplaces, production facilities, logistics facilities, retail, and service networks. The primary function of the Coordinator is to support the Deployment Team’s critical functions of design, utility grid connection, entitlement and construction of charging infrastructure. The Coordinator will report to the Senior Regional Development Manager of Charging Deployment, Commercial Development. The Coordinator will support program wide initiatives, reporting and project specific requirements. Responsibilities Provide program support by updating regular reporting and meeting notes. Attend all Utility and Architect/Engineer Meetings and recording meeting notes. New vendor onboarding and training. Lead vendor support to ensure new vendors are correctly enrolled and trained. Coordinate regular vendor meetings to confirm key project information and ensure deliveries match the project schedule. Support regular program approvals by organizing approval materials, creating weekly review agendas and reporting on review outcomes. Lead purchase order process to ensure initial orders and changes are processed in a timely manner. Coordinate key payments via check or electronic funds transfers to ensure timely payments. Provide shipping logistics support to ensure orders are accurate and delivered according to the project schedule. Support damage or delay claims. Support internal equipment orders by processing requests, entering orders, coordinating deliveries and providing regular forecast updates. Support company and team programs providing program tracking, purchase order entry, payment tracking and closeout organization. Engage with project and program teams to learn key success metrics of the program to support personal and program development. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction/project management is preferred; experience in other relevant fields of complexity will also be considered. Minimum of four (4) years of experience is preferred. Lead projects “the Rivian way,” providing professional influence on the work exemplifying respect, leadership, commitment, vision and teamwork. Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of complex, fast-paced and/or unorthodox construction projects. Risk management as it pertains to contracting best practices with designers, contractors, and material suppliers. Support multiple projects and issues effectively. Knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications and general building code. Proven critical-thinker and problem-solver. Possesses written and oral communication skills to support decisions and recommendations. The physical demands associated with the duties and responsibilities described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this job. This includes the ability to spend extended hours walking construction sites and traveling to different project sites and offices. The work environment described herein is representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. The Coordinator, EV Charging Deployment will be based at a regional, local, or home office. Occasional visits to job site locations, and attendance meetings at multiple offices should be expected. Exposure to outdoors, dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather is likely. Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory. Pay Disclosure Salary Range for CA based applicants: $77,800 - $105,800 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
