We have an exciting opportunity for an **EVA Development SE&I Engineer** to join the team!
This position will involve evaluating, from a Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) standpoint, information provided by NASA's Commercial Partners via discussions and documentation adequately meets the requirements for all interfaces with the crewmember in the International Space Station (ISS), and Lunar Extravehicular Activity (EVA) environments as well as any vehicle or object that interfaces with the xEVA System.
+ Example Interfaces: Gateway Airlock Module and exterior, ISS Airlock & exterior, Human Landing System(HLS) (SpaceX & Blue Origin), Lunar Terrain Vehicle, PR, Tools, Scientific Instruments, etc.
+ Example Documents: ConOps, IRDs, DRDs, IDDs, ICDs, GR&As, Plans, Reports, System Specs, V&V, Model outputs, Analyses, etc.
+ Perform other duties as required.
**Requisition Qualifications:**

+ Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 - 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required
+ Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience.
+ Strong knowledge of extravehicular activity and space suits and the ability to use lessons learned from historical EVA and vehicle systems (background in)
+ Background in systems engineering, project engineering, design engineering, or mission operations
+ Demonstrated history of understanding complex systems such as those under development for Artemis missions
+ Strong interpersonal and written communication skills such as speaking with and presenting to NASA programs, control boards, suit vendor teams, and vehicle vendor teams
+ Strong history of reviewing technical documentation and providing meaningful feedback
**Requisition Preferences:**
+ The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work independently to identify issues, prioritize responsibilities, and establish relationships with personnel on NASA teams, suit vendor teams, and vehicle vendor teams
+ 5+ years of human spaceflight experience including 2+ years of direct experience with extravehicular activity equipment, extravehicular systems and/or space suits

**Essential Functions**
**Work Environment**
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
**Physical Requirements**
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
**Equipment and Machines**
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
**Attendance**
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
