Software Skills: Experience with diagramming software like EMS or similar tools for room layout adjustments.
Event Coordination: Ability to support event planning and execution, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-site management.
Policy and Safety Compliance: Knowledge of organizational policies and safety regulations relevant to event management.

What You’ll Do
+ Set up and manage event spaces for gatherings of up to 500 attendees.
+ Oversee the student information desk and support student employees.
+ Assist with parking ramp operations and guest inquiries during peak evening hours.
+ Utilize reservation and diagramming software to adjust event layouts.
+ Provide on-the-spot problem-solving and customer service to ensure successful events.

Example of Duties
+ Plans, coordinates, publicizes, and implements events, conferences, conventions, meetings, etc.
+ Facilitates event production.
+ Coordinates logistics such as electrical, custodial, staging, lighting, sound, concessions, catering, security, transportation, and safety.
+ Coordinates event staffing, which may include hiring and supervising event staff.
+ Consults with clients on event planning.
+ Coordinates contracts and letters of agreement for services and events.
+ Markets services and venues to generate revenue.
+ Creates strategies to increase utilization, events, and services.
+ May assign work to other support staff.
Level Guidelines
+ Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
+ Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
+ Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
+ Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
+ Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
+ May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
+ May provide guidance to students
