Responsibilities Perform all laundry duties, including: Washing, drying, and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately Distributing laundered articles and linens Replacing and hanging draperies Changing beds Mopping laundry room floor and washing walls regularly Washing windows around the community as requested Ensure resident’s laundry is kept separated and is not mixed with other residents. Keep the laundry area maintained in a safe, clean, and good working condition. Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies. Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies. Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area. Aid residents, family members and/or vendors with questions/concerns and direct them to the appropriate person/place in the community. Answer incoming calls and greet walk in traffic in a polite professional manner. May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, etc. Proven customer service skills Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed. Self-starter, team player, not afraid to jump in and assist where needed. Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
