Primary Responsibilities:
Project Budget/Cost Tracking/Billing 80% : Ensure projects accurately reflect revenues, gross profit, and updates in the systems. Reconcile all project details in accordance with client/vendor agreements and internal closing policies. Prepare and review complex client invoices and issue them according to the client agreement to ensure positive project cash flow. Adhere to and ensure compliance with all applicable policies. Provide updates to Event Management and Account Managers regarding financial aspects of the projects. Independently analyze project data and proactively identify and report project profitability opportunities. Monthly closing duties including research and timely follow up. May serve as the primary point of contact for large accounts regarding issues on the account.
Contract Compliance and Documentation 20%: Provide guidance on internal contract policies to Account Teams, Event Management, and/or Sales regarding requirements. Monitors financial compliance with project Letter of Agreement, Statement of Work and other documents as required. Maintains all required financial documentation for GAAP, and for internal and external audits. May work with corporate internal audit department, outside auditors, and client auditors as requested. Serves as a mentor/resource to other department team members and for issues or questions. May serve as a team lead for internal projects and initiatives. *Travel may be required as needed to assist in various capacities such as on-site client operations and remote client meetings.
Qualifications
1.Intimate knowledge of financial practices, principles, processes and systems in a corporate environment
2.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project financials
3. Proficiency with Excel
4. Strong oral and written communication skills
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
6. Financial analysis experience
7. Demonstrated ability to follow best practices and work independently on moderate to complex level projects.
8.Adaptable in an environment of system and process changes.
9. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
