Event Coordinator (Full-Time)

Fooda is currently recruiting for a full time Event Coordinator in our Chicago market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experienceGain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations proceduresProblem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boardsConduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coachingProvide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumerFacilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high qualityEscalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solveCritical hours are over lunch Monday - Friday (7am – 3pm) but responsibilities may span 7am-4pm, depending on the market and need

Who You Are: 

You love building relationships with customers and enjoy customer serviceYou are friendly, high energy and love interacting with other peopleYou are savvy with technology and will be comfortable in a fast-paced start-upYou are resourceful, exhibit grace under pressure, and know you’re capable of finding solutionsYou are a strong communicator and self-starterYou are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own carYou’re looking for a steady part-time job (between 5 - 25 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibilityPrior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
