The Marketing and Communications team focuses on promoting SPA, as well as developing and executing strategic marketing plans to enhance its visibility and reputation amongst prospects and the clients SPA serves within Defense, Intelligence, and Homeland Security

 

SPA has an immediate need for an Event Marketing Manager who wants to be part of a company that for 50 years has informed decisions that have strategic and lasting impacts on national security. This role is open to our HQ in Alexandria, VA, or could be remote.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events that enhance our brand, engage our target audience, and drive business growth. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute company events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and corporate meetings. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each event. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure event alignment with company goals and objectives. Source and manage vendors, venues, caterers, and other event-related services.Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events, including email campaigns, social media, content creation, and online advertising. Collaborate with the design team to create compelling event marketing materials, such as brochures, banners, and digital assets.Onsite Event Management: Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly. Manage event registration, attendee tracking, and post-event follow-up, as necessary. Address any issues or emergencies that arise during events.Performance Analysis: Track and report on event metrics, conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations for future event strategies.Budget Management: Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Negotiate contracts and secure best pricing with vendors and suppliers.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in event planning and marketing, preferably in a corporate setting.

• Strong project management and organizational skills, detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high quality events.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as needed for events.
