Description of Duties\:
The Event Network Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will\:
· Serve as an Event Network Engineer for the Flight & Ground Test Delivery Team (F&G DyT); will team with all assigned network professionals to deliver support across the team's engineering and event support efforts
· Be responsible for providing network architectures, engineering services, and on-site support for various MDA test events; to include developing technical solutions in support of a variety of test events and environments
· Support the engineering life-cycle for a portfolio of enterprise IT offerings and services ensuring MDA Chief Information Officer (CIO) services are rendered, protected, and ready to support the implementation of all Missile Defense Systems (MDS) Flight and Ground test events, as well as real-world events
· Collaborate pro-actively with the MDA event community, customers, and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and assess technology needs, and capture those needs for service delivery
· Support the event engineering life-cycle for an assigned event, ensuring accuracy of work products and delivery of service offerings are ready to support the implementation of MDS test events; configure deployable network assets IAW established procedures; troubleshoot network outages and anomalies to ensure service delivery to all participating event locations
· Provide on-site engineering support for MDA test events with potential for CONUS and overseas travel; support Flight Test Environment (FTE) management during flight tests
· Apply relevant engineering principles and practices in the development of EEPT processes, procedures, and product deliverables; follow organization’s change management procedures
· Apply technical skills in multiple technical domains, such as; networks, boundary protection, and COMSEC services
· Collaborate across the Event Engineering Product Team; team with engineers from the Enclave Services DyT and Wargames & Exercises DyT to facilitate cross-utilization training and utilization of personnel, as appropriate.

Basic Requirements\:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience\: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience
· Must have 7 years of network engineering experience
· Must have 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles.
· Must have a current DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II certification such as Security CE
· Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements\:
· Have a working knowledge with various DoD communication systems, IT Service Management/Delivery (ITSM/ITSD), System Lifecycle Methodologies, and Cybersecurity protocols
· Have a working knowledge of the MDA, MDS, and event management, support, and execution
· Have knowledge of complex weapons systems, especially those related to MDA test programs
· Have experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other best-practice business protocols
· Have a DoD approved 8570 IAT Level III Approved Baseline Certification
This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
