Event Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Global Event Operations team at Marsh McLennan. This person will be essential in driving continuous improvement in our operational processes and enhancing efficiencies ensure successful execution of events.

This is a full-time position that will require at least 3 days in the office based in our Midtown Manhattan location.

We will count on you to:

Identify and recommend new procedures aimed at increasing the efficiency of event operations.Maintain effective communication with the Global Head of Events, Event Operations Manager, team members, and global colleagues to ensure adherence to established protocols.Support the department head in developing ways to optimize and streamline global event processes, leverage event technology, analyze and improve operational success.Establish and cultivate strong relationships with internal corporate functions – legal, compliance, procurement, finance, marketing – and external vendors and providers.Assist event leads in planning and coordinating the operational structure of events.Ensure that global event processes are executed and compliant with corporate standards.Provide guidance and assistance to team members, including onboarding new colleagues.

What you need to have:

Bachelor's Degree.Live in NYC tri-state area.Relevant experience in event planning and management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Highly self-motivated and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapt to shifting tasks, and prioritize effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong social and presentation abilities to effectively engage with colleagues, vendors, and a wide range of clients including C-suite level executives.Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule that could include evenings, weekends, and extended hours during event seasons if needed.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.Experience with meeting management software such as Cvent is a plus.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,500 to $128,900.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
