Event Planner Intermediate
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Event Planner Intermediate in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is primarily based in an office setting, where you will be expected to plan and manage diverse events ranging from small gatherings to large scale events with up to 500 attendees. Responsibilities: • Plan and manage events of varying complexity, ranging from 10 to 500 attendees. • Lead and direct various elements of event planning concurrently. • Collaborate effectively with various levels of management and clientele. • Provide strategic input on event development and make recommendations to business groups. • Maintain relationships with internal business partners such as Food Services, Audio Visual, Security, and Facilities. • Manage all event aspects including site selection, vendor negotiation, logistics coordination, menu planning, decor setup, audio visual setup, creative writing for invitations, coordination of speakers, and more. • Assist with the daily operations of the client center, including responding to guest needs and enquiries promptly. • Understand and implement client center policies and procedures. • Co-manage Event Management System reservation software and oversee execution of daily meetings and events. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the event rooms. • Manage pantry inventory and maintain knowledge of beverage service and catering. • Assist in evaluating guest experience and proposing solutions based on feedback. • Undertake various administrative tasks such as invoice processing, scheduling maintenance calls with vendors, and ordering supplies.
