Join Benzinga's growing events team!
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to become instrumental in the expansion of Benzinga's events business. The BZ events team is responsible for some of the most impactful events in finance, such as the Benzinga Global Fintech Awards, the Cannabis Capital Conference series, and new programming in ESports and SmallCap stocks.
We are looking to add a new member to assist the events team in developing high-level relationships.
The ideal candidate is someone who is driven to succeed and can be a self-starter, building a business from the group up!
What you'll be doing:
Generating leads through constant research and high-level industry awareness
Prospecting, selling, maintaining and tracking conference sponsors and exhibitors
Cold calling and emailing potential clients
Developing, managing and measuring sales techniques to attract sponsors
Responding to inbound sponsorship inquiries
Assisting in coordination and delivery of sponsorships and exhibitors
Other tasks as required
Stuff you need to get this gig:
Passionate about high-level selling and dealmaking to decision makers
Prior sponsorship sales experience a must. At least 2+ years of previous sales experience, i.e. sponsorships, ad sales or tickets
An understanding and/or passion for the financial industry
Must be self-motivated and able to execute in a variety of situations
Existing corporate contacts a plus
Must be well-organized, creative thinker with strong communication skills
Proficient in MS Office and Google Docs
Must be a team player and be able to operate in a fast-paced environment
