Event Sales Manager- Morton Arboretum
**Job Description** Aramark is currently seeking Event Sales Managers to support the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL! The Event Sales Manager oversees catering sales and operations to implement special events in line with client expectations. This is a Full-Time, Salaried position with sales commission, benefits, including medical, dental, & vision insurance, 401k, Vacation/Paid Time Off, and more! **Job Responsibilities** + Oversee entire special events sales process through event execution + Lead generations, responding to customer inquiries, developing proposals and contracts + Maximize revenue through upselling and offering enhancements to exceed client expectations + Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport, providing creative solutions to clients' needs, managing event detailing, tours, tastings, contracts, payments, and event operations + Create, manage, and communicate banquet event orders, connect with vendors, and deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events + Collaborate with culinary and operations departments on menu development, event detailing, and event execution + Recruit, schedule, train, and develop employees to ensure standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation and service + Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables, deliver sales, food, and labor targets and maintaining department budgets + Ensure compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. **Qualifications** + Bachelor?s degree preferred or at least 3 years of related experience required + Previous experience in a supervisor or manager level role in special events, hospitality, or catering required + Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships required + Must have excellent interpersonal communication, client relations, and ideally sales skills + Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic + Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required + Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time + Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours **Education** **About Aramark** **Our Mission** Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
