Regional Events and Travel Specialist, US (Remote)
Full-time, United States

 

Dedicated to a media and entertainment client, the Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating various components of event-related projects and will assist, as needed, not exclusive to events outside the Americas regions. This includes being accountable for accurately and efficiently handling incoming requests via multiple channels and handling additional duties as assigned.

 

As a member of the US travel team, the Specialist will work closely with client stakeholders and the global travel team and will serve as a liaison between the client and supplier(s) for the duration of the event, from planning to completion. The Specialist builds and maintains stakeholder relationships and provides value-added guidance while adhering to client procedures and standards.

 

This position demonstrates an extensive knowledge and applicability of all areas in the travel industry, works independently on requests as assigned, and takes the initiative to assist. 

 

As a Regional Events and Travel Specialist, you will

Expertly use the appropriate BCD Travel tools and systems to complete incoming requests Assist in scheduling meetings, providing logistics help, and planning to ensure smooth implementation of events within the allocated budget and timeline Work closely with client stakeholders and travel team in ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated, follow proper event process and standards set out by the client Manage hotel group block and rooming list coordination Track and manage air, hotel, and vendor attrition, cancellation, and deposit schedules Uses industry and BCD/Bloomberg system knowledge to find the root cause of an issue, explore and find alternatives and solutions, and appropriately advise/educate the customer

 

About you

Several years of experience in the travel industry GDS Sabre working knowledge Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills Ability to professionally handle oral and written correspondence with customers and vendors regarding service Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Flexibility in work hours

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Regional Events and Travel Specialist is between $50,000 and $60,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
