Decision Lens is searching for a passionate and driven Events Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, reporting to the CMO, you will lead one of our most important and visible channels, driving brand awareness and lead generation. In 2024, we will sponsor 12 large tentpole events, with plans to expand further in 2025. To support this growth, we seek a dedicated individual focused on scaling and optimizing our event strategies.
Beyond sponsored events, you will also lead the strategy and development of our "conference in a box," customer roadshow, and local association initiatives, ensuring that our events are not only memorable but also aligned with our broader business goals.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvents Strategy and Budget Management:
Drive Event Strategy: Partner across the organization to evaluate the performance of existing events, assess potential new events to sponsor, and ensure that investments align with our business objectives. Budget Ownership: In conjunction with marketing leadership, manage the events budget (approximately 40% of all marketing discretionary spend) to maximize the number of events supported while ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI. Surround Strategy Development: Lead the development of our event surround strategy, seeking additional investment opportunities to maximize brand exposure, drive booth traffic, and generate leads. Team Leadership: Lead project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure timely execution of event deliverables while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strategic Initiatives: Drive the strategy for additional event avenues, including our "conference in a box," customer roadshow, and association chapter initiatives.Event Planning and Execution:
Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices for event execution, including the creation of comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets. Logistics Coordination: Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, SWAG ordering, on-site requirements, registration, and more. Tech Stack Integration: Partner with marketing operations to leverage our existing tech stack for effective event management and data accuracy. Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, sales, product, design, and operations) to ensure event objectives align with overall business goals. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and vendors, ensuring alignment with event objectives.Marketing, Promotion, and Content Development:
Campaign Collaboration: Develop and collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote events through channels such as email marketing, social media, and digital advertising. Creative Content: Work with creative teams to develop compelling event content, presentations, collateral, and digital assets that align with our brand messaging. Target Audience Engagement: Partner with sales and marketing to identify high-value attendee targets and develop strategies to capture their awareness and interest before the event. Data Management, Reporting, and Process Optimization Performance Tracking: Partner with marketing operations to track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) for events, including attendance, engagement, leads generated, and ROI. This includes both short-term and long-term trend analysis. Data-Driven Optimization: Use data insights to continuously optimize event strategies, audience targeting, content effectiveness, and future planning. Process Improvement: Identify and develop scalable processes for continuous improvement and optimization of event management practices. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 5 years of experience in event marketing, with a proven track record of planning, executing, and managing various types of events, including tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and hybrid events. Experience and ability to create and execute programs that increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads. Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with strong proficiency in budgeting and time management. Experience and strong understanding of event analytics and deriving insights from data to demonstrate ROI and inform future strategies. Strong communication and executive presence with excellent presentation skills. Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a get-it-done mentality. Experience with all marketing components associated with events, including banner ads, email campaigns, PR/media, paid social, copywriting/content, and lead generation and nurturing. Experience with tools such as Canva and HubSpot is preferred but not required. Travel: Ability to travel up to 30%.Location: Decision Lens is based in the Arlington, VA area, however, this is a remote position. Travel and event attendance is required.
