Role Summary
The Events Planner within our Corporate Communications group contributes to planning, management, and execution of assigned elements of internal/external events in alignment with organizational policy and quality standards. May lead events that are moderately complex in nature. Provides guidance on event marketing tactics and the use of engagement tools to enhance the client experience and drive data. Continues to develop industry experience and may contribute to the development of the event planning and management strategy for the client segment/subregion. May review work completed by less experienced professionals for accuracy and alignment with company standards and advises on improvements.
Responsibilities
May consult on event agendas, prepares written and graphic materials, and conducts vendor and site research. Books venues and completes other related tasks. In partnership with event sponsors, develops proposals on food and beverage, audio visual, and other event vendors. Proposals may be reviewed by more experienced professionals to ensure they meet the organization's partnership standards. Provides guidance on event marketing tactics.Negotiates moderately complex event contracts and completes expense management, budget reconciliation, and event analysis as required. Measures event participant/invitee/stakeholder engagement and contributes to the development of reports for management. Ensures the accurate execution of contracts in compliance with established agreements.Works directly with the event sponsor to document the event goal, responsibilities, budget, timeline, schedule, etc., and communicates these details with broader event team. Depending on the event complexity, either leads or supports on-site event execution. Provides guidance on the use of engagement tools to enhance the client experience and drive data.Continues to develop industry, market, segment, and client knowledge and integrates research to understand industry trends, market climates and competitive activities. May provide input on the development of the event planning strategy for the respective business unit/region.Continues to develop relationships with legal, compliance, and other contacts within the organization to ensure events are evaluated and found to be in compliance with firm and regulatory requirements. Monitors event alignment with common policies and business unit-specific criteria and requirements.Qualifications

$61,000.00 - $98,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$67,500.00 - $108,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$76,500.00 - $123,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
