Key accountabilities
Solicit existing and potential customers (Social events customers, travel agencies, associations, corporate accounts, individual guests, government associations) and follow up established accounts on regular basis by phone, by correspondence or by personal contact.
Negotiate with all customers and send out offers/contracts regarding individual and event business and responsible from the operations in the hotel as well.
Explore industry related data, new developments in certain agencies’ structures, new assignments, industrial complexes, new business centers, new projects that all could be interest and benefit for the hotel, and to distribute this information to their colleagues.
Keep close follow up on developments of the competitor hotels (occupancy, structural alterations, renovation, special campaigns, rate promotions, marketing efforts, theme events etc.) Also, explore and compare event traffic (who is hosting events in which hotel) amongst the competitors.
Bring ideas and participate in the preparations of the promotional theme events, other promotional activities and invitation lists.
To constantly gather, understand and apply the knowledge of foods, beverages, technical equipment and inter-departmental procedures to the sales and planning process with the client.
To complete all reports on a timely basis as requested by the Director of Banquet & Catering and/or Catering Sales Manager.
General requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years’ working experience in the hospitality industry.
Luxury hotel Sales preferred and or operational hotel experience, proven sales track record a plus.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Excellent command in spoken English.
Sense of details, organization.
Strong Communication skills.
