\r\nResponsibilities:
\r\n\r\nRecognize and identify diseases in poultry\r\nInspect birds for pathology issues and contamination to ensure compliance with Federal Guidelines\r\nMonitor and communicate with the Sorter's helper to ensure that the correct tag and marking system is used to identify bird pathology and other carcass inspection issues.\r\nCommunicate with USDA officials and Plant Management on technical issues and complete necessary inspection documentation\r\nAdditional duties as assigned\r\n\r\nKnowledge:
\r\n\r\nAbility to read and understand written instructions\r\nGood Communication\r\nBasic Mathematical Skills\r\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks and stand for prolonged period of time\r\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\r\n\r\nEducation and Experience
\r\n\r\n2 years experience in related field preferred (e.g., USDA inspector, quality assurance technician, process control monitor, inspector helper, veterinary technician)\r\nBachelor degree in poultry/animal science, biology or chemistry preferred\r\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred\r\nBilingual English/Spanish preferred\r\n\r\n\r\n
