Diploma or Equivalent; Other **Hours** **:** **Shift Start Time:** Variable **Shift End Time:** Variable **AWS Hours Requirement:** 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift **Additional Shift Information:** **Weekend Requirements:** As Needed **On-Call Required:** No **Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):** $24.250 - $28.040 - $31.820 The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. **What You Will Do** To assist in planning, organizing, executing, and controlling work activities of the Environmental Services personnel so as to maintain the highest possible cleaning standards and good public relations by creating a clean, attractive, and safe environment **Required Qualifications** + 1 Year Recent experience in the housekeeping field with extensive knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, floor machines, and Safety/Hazardous Plans. **Preferred Qualifications** + H.S. Diploma or Equivalent + Other Completion of housekeeping courses offered through the Community College District. **Essential Functions** + CommunicationCooperatively works with others and able to filter information.Communicates and keeps Supervisor abreast of pertinent and routine information.Confers with other departments in problem-solving issues.Resolves problems by means of problem solving.Measurement Criteria:No more than one exception per six months + Customer serviceDisplays good guest relation skills by maintaining courteous, considerate relations with the Medical Staff, fellow employees, clients, visitors, etc.Conforms to hospital dress code.Demonstrates team spirit towards accomplishment of goals.Displays a positive attitudeMeasurement Criteria:Remains in compliance 100% of the time. + Daily operationsAbility to plan, schedule, and assign routine work.Posts daily assignments prior to beginning of shift.Maintains a work station, and is familiar with all areas.Prioritizes work request, both routine, preventive maintenance and project cleaning.Delegates work assignments according to work capabilities.Measurement Criteria:No more than one exception per quarter. + Department competencyConducts on-the-job training, departmental orientation, and skill development.Possesses a thorough knowledge of floor machines, chemicals, and procedures by demonstration and application.Possesses in depth knowledge of floor/carpet care procedures.Sets up and attend quarterly meetings with carpet/chemical vendors, and assists in identifying educational needs of subordinates essential to meeting departmental objectives.Measurement Criteria:No more than two exceptions of non-compliance per per six month period. + Department supervisionSporadically spot checks work turned out for compliance with objectives, noting quality and quantity.Reports needed changes essential to attaining desired quality.Makes individual inspections.Submits weekly verbal reports.Measurement Criteria:Daily inspection while simultaneously maintaining a work station with no more than one exception per month. + Emergency preparednessDemonstrates knowledge and participates in hospital wide Emergency Preparedness Plans, Safety Policies, and Hazardous Material Procedures.Observes all policies and proceduresRemains in compliance with all regulatory agencies.Measurement Criteria:Remains in compliance 100% of the time. + General supportOther duties as assigned by the supervisorMeasurement Criteria:100% all of the time. + Inventory controlReplenishes shelves and distributes supplies as needed.Logs supplies on hand the first week of every month.Submits monthly reorder supply list to supervisor.Measurement Criteria:100% in compliance all of the time. + Supervisor coverageCollects time cards, invoices, and process accordingly.Empties voice box, mail box daily.Responds to overhead paging.Handles department-related issues.Measurement Criteria:No more than two exceptions per year. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Knowledge of personnel supervision. + Ability to train/educate employees so as to ensure a high level of productivity. + Able to plan and project the needs of the department, problem solving, and good communication. + Math and language, comprehension and expression skills.
