**Job Title: EVS Supervisor** **Job Description** Employees must abide by all Joint Commission Requirements including but not limited to sensitivity to cultural diversity, patient care, patients' rights and ethical treatment, safety and security of physical environments, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others, participation in ongoing education and training, communication and adherence to safety and quality programs, sustaining compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, and licensure and health screenings. Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Service Standards of the Hospital(s). **Responsibilities** + Evaluate work habits, performance, and attendance of staff. Document and make recommendations regarding employees' performance, retention, and/or promotion. Take corrective action as indicated by hospital policies and appropriate labor agreements. + Maintain required records, gather statistics, and prepare reports as required. + Monitor workflows and effect change to improve quality and efficiency of services. + Plan, schedule, and direct staff to assigned areas of the hospital and its satellite facilities. Monitor and track progress; provide feedback to staff. + Tour hospital regularly, covering each assigned area to observe and inspect cleanliness of facilities and work in progress. + Train staff in techniques of cleaning and disinfecting facilities, use of chemical agents and equipment, collection and disposal of infectious materials, and general environmental maintenance particular to acute hospitals. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas. + Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations and serve as a link between staff and upper management. + Participate in the hiring process. The EVS team operates in a union environment, with supervisors and managers not part of the union. The role requires business formal attire. The work schedule is the grave shift from Sunday to Thursday, 11pm-7:30am, with coverage on swing shifts when needed and a weekend rotation. Candidates may start earlier to align with staff. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stanford, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $41.00/hr.
