To insure the esthetic and aseptic standards are met throughout the facility. + Responsible for economical use of supplies. + Follows BSI precautions when handling trash, soiled linen, and bio-hazardous waste. + At completion of assigned duties, reports to manager / supervisor for additional projects. + Participates in emergency preparedness drills, and actual emergencies as instructed. + Follows all hospital and department safety policies and procedures at all times. + Pick up trash, linen, and bio-hazard waste from soiled utilities, transporting in covered containers for final disposal outside the hospital. + Label bio-hazard trash according to DOT guidelines. + Keeps transportation containers clean and disinfected. + Uses extreme caution when transporting trash, linen, bio-hazard waste through the halls. + Does set-ups as needed in conference rooms, and outside meeting rooms. + Reports any spills or improperly bagged waste to the manager / supervisor immediately. **Education** : High school diploma or GED preferred **Experience** : Six or more months of hospital cleaning preferred HCA Florida Putnam Hospital is a 99-bed acute care facility serving North Central Florida.
