SLQ-32 & Networks Technician
Ghostrock, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Electronic Warfare System/ Network Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA.
This position represents Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) command technical representative/authority with assigned areas of responsibility for ships assigned to the Navy Region Southwest. Duties include providing direct fleet support and upgrades to Self Defense Combat Systems and associated subsystems and networking, specifically AN/SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare System versions 6, 7 and 8. Experience with the associated LINUX networking is also required.
Position Responsibilities:
The technician will provide complex technical services in connection with onsite Fleet Technical Assistance and Fleet On-Board Maintenance Training and Fleet Equipment course development on the following Major Systems and Subsystems: Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems and associated subsystems including: AN/SLQ-32(V) 6, 7 and 8 Electronic Warfare Systems Mk36 Decoy Launching System (SRBOC) Mk53 NULKA Decoy Launching System (DLS) AN/ULQ-16 Pulse Analyzer Set AN/SLA-10 Blanker-Video Mixer Group AN/SSX-1 Signal Emitter Intercept Battle Force Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT) Associated LINIX based software and networks AN/UYQ-70 Display Consoles Surface Electronic Warfare Team Trainer (SEWTT) Specific knowledge required by the position: Thorough comprehensive knowledge of the assigned systems. Thorough knowledge of the tactical capabilities and usage of the total weapons system. Working knowledge of LINUX architecture to include the ability to conduct basic troubleshooting, software reloads, password resets, and usage of root, superuser and maintenance logins to enable/disable interfaces from nodes to management blades and servers. Knowledge of engineering principles of a highly specialized level of theories, practices, and techniques to include but not limited to the following cross disciplines; acoustics, electronics, electrical, thermodynamics, piping systems and related interfacing fields in order to provide overall cross analysis from total system viewpoint.Position Requirements:
US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates with an existing Active Security clearance preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Navy ‘C’ school. Proficient in the use of Personal Computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum eight (8) years’ experience. Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment.Position located in San Diego, CA.
