The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training & Certification team is seeking an innovative, driven, and experienced program manager to create, develop, manage and maintain AWS technical certification exams in a rapidly evolving and expanding landscape for global delivery. Successful candidates will have a strong exam development background, be detail driven, and have excellent training and problem-solving skills. You will be familiar with the certification exam development lifecycle and be able to effectively train subject matter experts on certification best practices. You will creatively seek out and embrace forward-looking, innovative approaches to exam development that hone efficiency and maintain or enhance quality while maintaining valid, reliable, fair, and relevant certifications that support the AWS platform.
Key job responsibilities
* Facilitate exam development workshops: Job task analysis, item writing/review, and standard setting
* Recruit and collaborate with subject matter experts
* Train subject matter experts on Amazon’s style guidelines and exam development best practices
* Conduct quality reviews of exam files
* Implement proper tracking mechanisms for item workflow
* Manage and implement item development processes (in person and remote)
* Manage the editorial review of items (e.g. grammar, spelling, standardizing on technical terms throughout the exam, etc.)
* Create, prioritize, and implement exam maintenance schedules
* Create and report on subject matter expert, item, and exam development metrics
