Job Description
The Superintendent of Excavation and Concrete oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, and overall performance of the excavation and concrete division. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in construction, particularly in excavation, concrete work, and project management. The Superintendent will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
ResponsibilitiesProvide strong leadership and manage the team effectively.Oversee the excavation and concrete construction processes and techniques.Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely completion within budget.Maintain high standards of quality and safety on all projects.Develop and implement strategic plans for the division.Handle budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Utilize construction management software and tools proficiently.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and obtain necessary certifications.Essential SkillsStrong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of excavation and concrete construction processes and techniques.Excellent project management and organizational abilities.Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Proficiency in construction management software and tools.OSHA certification or similar safety certifications are preferred.Work Environment
Initially, this will be a working supervisory position. The role requires working in both office and field environments. Travel to job sites, client meetings, and industry events may be required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project requirements.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69
