Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As a key member of our shredder operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling and manoeuvring materials using skid steer equipment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 6:00AM - 3:00PM

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Per Hour DOE + Full Benefit Package, Health Insurance and 401K Company Matches

Operating excavator machinery to move and process scrap metal materials within the shredder departmentSorting and segregating various types of metals using appropriate attachments on the skid steerLoading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and processing equipmentMaintaining a clean and organized (yard) work area to ensure safety and efficiencyAssisting in general maintenance tasks for equipment and facility upkeep during any downtime

QualificationsProven experience as a Excavator Operator in a heavy industrial setting is a MUSTPrevious general labour experience requiredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safetyComfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc)Ability to work in a noisy and dusty, heavy industrial setting
