Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant 4 to join our executive admin team and support our growing portfolio. The position will be part of a broader admin group that supports all Program Office directors.
Position is located in Melbourne, Florida Position is in person, we cannot accommodate a hybrid/telecommute schedule. Schedule is 9/80, with every other Friday OFF!Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will support a program executive and program execution utilizing decision making skills, professional judgment, and tactful implementation. They will be expected to apply organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and situations across the program, as well as work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with other administrative professionals in related organizationsMaintain in-person presence to support ad-hoc requests from team membersDemonstrate dependability, accuracy, efficiency, and punctualityManage calendar, travel, and expenses for our executive and leadership teamManage conference room calendars, phone lists and reserved parking assignmentsManage purchasing for program supplies, and handle catering during select operations events and lunchtime meetingsHelp coordinate/prepare briefing packagesThe right candidate should possess a positive can-do attitude, be self-directed, and be comfortable working in a fast paced, changing, and diverse environment.
General office management tasks:
Gather, compile, and report on information relevant to supervisors’ assignment.
Answer questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures.
Sometimes backfill for the administrative assistant to multiple Directors including managing calendars, coordinating travel, and creating expense reports
Be asked to work overtime from time to time
The position requires a positive team player who is flexible in attitude and dedication, with the experience and ability to effectively interface with all levels of Northrop Grumman leadership, support organizations, and customers.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably for a large teamExperience in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Experience in business and travel expense system (Concur, Edge, or similar)Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that was granted or renewed in the last 6 years or is currently under continuous evaluation.Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Administrative support at the Executive level Good communication skillsPositive team playerActive DoD Secret clearance (or higher)Current Special Program Access (PAR)Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
