Executive Assistant, Digital Services
Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Chief Digital Officer within Scholastic’s Digital Services division. This division partners across all lines of business — including Book Fairs, Book Clubs, Education Solutions, and Trade Publishing — to develop sophisticated data and digital strategies that strengthen our connection with readers, educators, parents, and students around the world. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and exceptional communication skills to manage the daily operations of the Chief Digital Officer.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires being in the SoHo office three (3) days a week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Calendar & Communication Management: Organize and manage the Chief Digital Officer’s calendar and communications, ensuring seamless scheduling, prioritization of key meetings, and clear communication with stakeholders across Scholastic’s business units.

Expense Reporting & Budget Tracking: Manage expense reports and track budgets, ensuring all financial data is aligned with the division’s operational goals and company policies.

Project Management: Collaborate with internal teams on high-impact projects related to the Digital Services division’s goal of expanding digital and data-driven strategies. Track progress and follow up on deliverables to ensure timely execution.

Meeting Preparation: Prepare materials for meetings, including presentations and reports on digital strategies and initiatives impacting Scholastic’s divisions. Attend meetings, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.

Travel & Event Coordination: Plan complex travel arrangements, as well as coordinate meetings and events for the Digital Services division that align with its strategy of advancing data-driven and digital innovations.

Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism, safeguarding details related to strategic initiatives and business operations.

Qualifications

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and digital collaboration tools.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate needs and identify solutions.

Experience:

Experience supporting C-level executives is required.

5+ years of experience in an executive assistant or similar support role, preferably in a marketing, digital, or data-focused division.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
