National Geographic Content is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Production Management. This role involves collaboration with the Production team to manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables with third-party production companies, focusing on unscripted, team nature, and documentary films content.
Responsibilities:
Manage the executive's calendar, schedule meetings, and handle communications, ensuring all appointments and requests are efficiently coordinated.
Organize travel arrangements, process expenses, and prepare reports and presentations for internal and external meetings.
Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee departmental budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Provide administrative support, including managing mail, ordering supplies, and overseeing vendor relations.
Assist with the logistics of production meetings, ensuring the appropriate materials and information are readily available.
Support the SVP in managing day-to-day tasks and prioritize the executive's time to meet departmental goals.
Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in long-form, unscripted production, working as a Production Coordinator or Production Assistant for original productions with broadcast networks, streaming platforms, or third-party production companies.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of production and post-production processes, including logistics and familiarity with broadcast deliverables and technical specifications.
Experience working with international clients and understanding of international production standards.
Experience or familiarity within finance is preferred.
Experience in Airtable a plus.
Prior experience working with high-level executives in a production environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
