The Role

The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive executive support to the Chief Legal Officer and serves as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the C-suite executive office. This position requires an individual capable of problem-solving, as well as someone who takes the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and then proactively executes on that vision. The ideal candidate will be a down-to-earth team player, capable of thriving under pressure and committed to supporting the CLO in championing Lumen’s core values and operating principles of Clarity, Courage, Growth Mindset, Customer Obsession, Allyship.

Location The preferred location for this candidate is a hybrid opportunity in Los Angeles. Denver-based candidates will also be considered.Able to commute into local office as needed and travel domestically on occasion to other office locations. The Main Responsibilities Provide proactive administrative support to a senior executive, managing a fast-paced, C-suite office with initiative and a high degree of confidentiality.Prepare and organize leadership meeting agendas, presentations (utilizing PowerPoint), and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.Handle multiple high-priority issues simultaneously, maintaining detailed calendars, and coordinating logistics with a focus on driving priorities.Utilize critical thinking and thorough business knowledge to manage advanced executive administrative tasks and decision-making processes.Conduct administrative tasks efficiently, including expense reports, invoice processing, supply orders, and meal arrangements.Arrange complex travel itineraries, including international travel, accommodations, and meeting venues for executives and team members, with the ability to pivot and be creative in problem solving as unexpected needs arise.Manage a high volume of calls and emails across the business, draft and proof written correspondence, and maintain professional contact with C-suite executives and other administrative staff.What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years administrative experience, preferably in a senior executive level support role for a Chief Legal Officer or Legal department leaderProficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proven ability to succeed in a demanding, fast-paced environment, and demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to maintain composure in high pressure situationsAbility to maintain complete confidentiality and a strong sense of urgencyGood judgment, tact, and initiative to proactively and effectively make independent, self-directed decisions when necessary while maintaining a positive, approachable demeanor

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent in education and experience; Bachelors degree preferredExperience with expense reconciliation, invoicing/billing, travel management, and other administrative software platforms (i.e. SAP and Concur or comparable) Ability to multi-task and prioritize a diversified workload, meeting established deadlines with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skills with focus on accuracy and attention to detailCompensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$66,544 - $88,725 in these states: CO 
$69,713 - $92,950 in these states: CA 

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
