Welcome Home!We’re more than Canada’s largest independent hardware and building supplies retailer—we’re part of communities across the nation. Organizing Success through Support and CoordinationAs an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, coordinating all office related functions, and ensuring confidentiality of all matters. Led by the Vice President, Merchandise LBM, this opportunity will suit someone who has excellent communication and organizational skills. *Please note this is a 7-month term position. Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:  Responsible for calendar management, meeting scheduling/coordination, compilation of reports, copying appropriate materials for meetings and presentations.  Organize the office, prioritizing the supporting Vice-President’s daily activities and adjusting as required.Coordinate all incoming and outgoing communication including providing briefings, preparing correspondence, meeting minutes, manage daily phone calls, voice mail and email inquiries.  Prioritize and respond to all requests in a professional, customer focused and confidential manner.Coordinate, participate in planning and make logistical arrangements for meetings, events.  Coordinate, plan, and book travel accommodations.Create and prepare a variety of reports, presentations, and documents, including spreadsheets, graphs, letters/memos, reports, lists, and contract administration.Respond to and resolve general and confidential inquiries, working closely with other internal departments, as well as external contacts.Process invoices and expenses for department, prepare and compile expense reports and budget summaries. We’re looking for: Diploma in Administration or Business with a minimum five years’ office experience. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and discretion in dealing with matters. Protecting sensitive and confidential information.Strong interpersonal and communication skills given the significant contact with Senior Management and external contacts, along with strong organizational, administrative, time management and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, enthusiastic with executive presence, desire, and ability to take initiative.Keen sense of urgency in delivering tasks and strong follow through in prioritizing, coordinating, and planning in a high volume fast paced environment.Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Innovation and creativity when using PowerPoint to create presentations.High level of attention to detail and accuracy with grammar and proofreading skills.Ability and willingness to work extra hours as required.
