Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Executive Assistant to the Medicine department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Under the direction of the Chair of Medicine and other department leadership, the Executive Assistant will perform administrative duties in the Department of Medicine. The incumbent is directly involved with a variety of administrative tasks and processes and assists in the overall coordination of administrative activities for the Department in support of its clinical, educational and other missions.
Directly supervise administrative staff in the Department of Medicine, including managing schedules, time off requests, approving timecards, evaluation of staff and others. Supervise administrative support functions for the Department of Medicine. Provide administrative support to the Chair of Medicine, including calendar management and special projects as assigned. Coordinate paperwork for new hires and existing staff in the department, including facilitating scheduling of EPIC Training, Department Orientation and other compliance items. Assist with facilitation and maintenance of credentialing documents for provider staff including licenses, DEA and other certifications, and delineation of privileges. Process invoices and reimbursement requests for the department. Provide administrative support to ensure optimal functioning of the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program, Fellowship Programs and student education programs. This may involve serving as the primary administrative contact (coordinator) for one or more programs. Manage meeting minutes, processing and filing of departmental reports and management of departmental files. Other duties as assigned by the Chair of Medicine and other department leadership as needed.
