Trusted products that accelerate drug discovery, development, and delivery to save lives Damage-resistant cover glass to enhance the devices that keep us connected Optical fiber, wireless technologies, and connectivity solutions to carry information and ideas at the speed of light Precision glass for advanced displays to deliver richer experiences  Auto glass and ceramics to drive cleaner, safer, and smarter transportation  Role Purpose Serves as primary administrative support for Vice President, Global Government Affairs to include short, medium, and long-term scheduling, event materials preparation and management, travel arrangements, and expense reports Provide project management support Provide administrative support to visiting executives Assist with general office management responsibilities in absence of Government Affairs Administrator or as requested Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of VP calendar, including scheduling internal and external group meetings and compiling final briefing materials for day ahead Maintain medium and long-term VP planning calendar Make travel arrangements, confirm details, and prepare expense reports in Concur Maintain organized electronic files for VP as well as briefing materials for GA staff Coordinate closely with Government Affairs Administrator in arranging requests for office/meeting space for visiting Corning staff.  Ensure appropriate support for visiting executives such as IT needs, office supplies, building and suite access, etc. Provide event support, including invitations/RSVP, catering, facilities management, set up, etc. Provide project management, including basic research and materials coordination for VP, Global Government Affairs, and broader GA team as requested Draft routine correspondence and proof documents for accuracy In the absence of the Government Affairs Administrator, perform office functions related to events, work orders, office supply orders, deliveries, etc.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm; 40 hours/week; Overtime as needed; hours may adjust based on office needs. This is an onsite role in the Washington, DC office.  Experiences/Education - Required Associate Degree in Business or Bachelors degree preferred 3-5 years of executive level administrative and project support Proficient in all Microsoft applications, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and Excel Exceptional level of attention to detail and organization Proactive and self-directed, with ability to prioritize competing priorities Solid written and verbal communications skills Sound judgement and discretion; elevates challenges when necessary and focuses on solutions Experiences/Education - Desired Capitol Hill, Executive Branch experience highly desirable Demonstrated project management skills and interest in operations/logistics Collaborative and team oriented; solutions focused mindset Ability to develop strong internal and external peer working relationships Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organization

The range for this position is $85,000.00- $107,000.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
