JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Executive Assistant to the Dean in the College of Education is a key support position within the Dean’s office. The Executive Assistant works collaboratively with senior leaders, faculty, students, and alumni to support the Dean in carrying out College of Education business, communications, and projects.
This position is responsible for independently and strategically managing a high-level, complex environment, communicating daily with the senior administration within the College and high-level executives externally, managing the dynamic activities of the Dean and all related actions, while determining, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing the necessary information for all professional interactions.
Supporting the Dean administratively, the incumbent will manage the Dean’s highly complex calendar requiring an enormous amount of attention to detail and follow-through. The incumbent will coordinate both national and international travel for the Dean. The Executive Assistant is also responsible for strategically and independently deciding upon and managing the communication flow on behalf of the Dean. The Executive Assistant will review the Dean’s projects, emails, and mail, assess priorities and inputs, and manage correspondence, and scheduling accordingly.
The incumbent will thrive in a fast-paced office environment, can manage multiple tasks, and can adapt to changing priorities. An ideal candidate should be able to take the initiative while exercising good judgment and discretion and have a track record of being able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ideally, this individual will be able to use their strong attention to detail, and familiarity with a wide array of office tools, to approach administrative tasks with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$61,800.00 - $89,600.00
