**Role Overview**
**Sodexo** is seeking an **Executive Chef 2** for our prestigious client **Brandon Oaks in Roanoke, VA.** The Residents at Brandon Oaks have access to a wealth of outstanding amenities, services, resources and events that make life in this all-inclusive community one of activity, independence, ease and fun. We are seeking a talented individual who will commit to the challenges of creating and delivering a culinary-driven dining experience. This position requires previous experience managing food production and training of culinary staff.
**What You'll Do**
+ implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for residents: Catering, garnishing, panning charts, production, puree standardization, FMS sheets, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, safety, etc. Sodexo standards will be the benchmark;
+ utilize DRIVE: monitoring, Audits, implementation and standardization for new menus;
+ be responsible for Food and Physical Safety and annual training for all hourly associates;
+ create interpersonal relationships with client and residents.

**What You Bring**
+ a strong culinary background;
+ experience leading and engaging a culinary team, with exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset;
+ menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends;
+ a strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts;
+ the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team;
+ proficient computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer services skills;
+ Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
