Sodexo Universities Segment is seeking a Catering Executive Chef for Northern Arizona University located in Flagstaff, AZ. NAU is a Sodexo Center of Excellence and one of first in line for new projects in innovation, menuing and service!  NAU is committed to providing you with a healthy and safe dining experience, improved access with remote ordering, and added value built into your meal plan.

Incentives Relocation Assistance Available! What You'll Do manage all catering operations on this campus - averaging 30 events per day - from coffee drops to high end VIP catering, banquets, conferences, and graduations;develop creative menus, set up tastings, coordinate with catering Manager, be on site for large events. be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations; andhave working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems. What You Bring a strong culinary background in a high volume catering operation - campus, banquet or event center, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards;strong coaching and employee development skills; flexibility of schedule - ability to work high volume seasons and enjoy the campus schedule and slower pace; nd/orhave a passion for food and innovation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
