Job Summary
As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring a safe, sanitary work environment and high-quality meal preparation aligned with corporate standards. This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional with a passion for leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develops regular and modified menus per established guidelines.
+ Ensures quality through standardized recipes, portioning, presentation standards, and daily production logs.
+ Trains staff on food prep, equipment use, safety, and sanitation, in alignment with company and regulatory standards.
+ Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas, ensuring completion by staff.
+ Manages inventory within set guidelines, ensuring timely availability of products.
+ Makes decisions on leftover product utilization per company guidelines.
+ Adheres to federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, evidenced through health department audits.
+ Follows facility and company safety policies, including incident reporting.
+ Participates in meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
+ Extensive catering and high-volume food service experience preferred.
+ Institutional and batch cooking experience.
+ Proven hands-on chef experience.
+ In-depth knowledge of food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet applications.
+ Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives.
+ ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
